Coronavirus: 35 more patients die across South Yorkshire

South Yorkshire’s coronavirus death toll has risen again after 35 more patients being treated for the deadly bug in the region passed away.

Four more Covid-19 patients have died in Sheffield’s hospitals, bringing the total in the city to 440.

Elsewhere in South Yorkshire, there was one more fatality in Doncaster, where the death toll now stands at 389.

In Rotherham there were also four more deaths, taking the total to 293 and in Barnsley there have now been 268 deaths after 26 more were recorded.

Nationwide, a further 316 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died in hospital in England, bringing the total number of confirmed deaths reported in hospitals to 38,112.

Patients were aged between 28 and 102. All except five, aged between 64 and 96, had known underlying health conditions.

The deaths took plae between June 3 and November 20.

Twenty-two other deaths were reported with no positive Covid-19 test result.
