St Peter’s Catholic Primary School in Doncaster recently marked its 50th anniversary with a virtual celebration.

The Sandy Lane school event included a 1970s dress up day, and street party with boogie bolognaise and Flower Power pizza for lunch, giving thanks to all the people who have been part of the school over the years.

A spokesman said: “It is unfortunate due to the pandemic that we were unable to gather with former staff, parents and students in the hall to share stories and reminisce as we had hoped to.”

In these confusing and worrying times, local journalism is more vital than ever. Thanks to everyone who helps us ask the questions that matter by taking out a subscription or buying a paper. We stand together. Liam Hoden, editor.
