The school has been awarded the Healthy Learning, Healthy Lives Award from Doncaster Public Health.

The organisation was assessed on its food and drink policy, physical activity opportunities and teaching, and its approach to supporting the emotional health and wellbeing of children.

Jane Goodman, deputy head at Doncaster School for the Deaf, said: “We’re thrilled to have achieved the accreditation. The health and wellbeing of pupils is a priority for us, and we are passionate about creating a supportive learning environment where children can thrive.”
