It was a shock to close early – but year 11 and 12 pupils at McAuley School marked the end of school in style.

Teachers threw a special party for the youngsters, who have seen their A level and GCSE exams cancelled as a result of the coronavirus crisis.

Leaders at the school wanted to make sure they had a memorable day.
