Flooring Superstore chose Doncaster as the location for its newest store, which opened recently on the Wheatley Hall Trade Park.

The retailer has invested £150,000 in the new, 2,900 sq ft store, which has created three new jobs.

However, the store is currently closed due to coronavirus restrictions.

The firm has also launched stores in Newcastle and Huddersfield with further openings planned early in 2021.

The retailer only began opening stores in 2017 and now has 25 across the UK, making it one of the country’s fastest growing businesses, not just in the flooring sector, but the retail sector as a whole.

Flooring Superstore Regional Manager Grieg Anderson said: “It’s always nice to have a presence in a new region so we’re delighted to have been able to come to South Yorkshire for the first time with our store in Doncaster.

“We have found a fantastic location on the Wheatley Retail Park where we are alongside major high street names such as Marks and Spencer, Boots and Next.

“It’s a thriving retail complex and we’re looking forward to making our own contribution to the local economy.”

The store offers an ‘unrivalled’ range of carpets but also a huge choice of other flooring, such as vinyl, laminate, real wood, luxury vinyl tiles, EvoCore and the UK’s largest selection of artificial grass.

Greig explains: “This means we can offer people a one-stop-shop for all their flooring needs, so they can get everything under one roof, whether its carpet for the living room, vinyl for the kitchen and even artificial grass for the garden.

“And because we started life as an online retailer in 2012, it means we can offer online pricing to people visiting our physical stores.”

Whenever it opens at a new location, Flooring Superstore reaches out to local charities or organisations in need of support, via its corporate social responsibility programme.

Greig adds: “We’re always happy to make donations of flooring to local good causes as our way of giving something back to areas where we receive such fantastic support through our stores.

“So, we would love to hear from charities, voluntary organisations or groups doing great work in the community who may need flooring for a particular project.”
