Dame Rosie Winterton, Doncaster’s Central MP has sent her public congratulations to John McHale, after he was made a Member of the Order of The British Empire in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list released on Friday.

Mr McHale is a member of Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council and was honoured for his public service to Doncaster.

Dame Rosie said: “I am absolutely delighted that John McHale has been recognised in the Queen’s Birthday honours list. John has worked tirelessly on behalf of his constituents as a Councillor and remains committed to his local community.

"Doncaster people will, I know, be very proud that John has been awarded an MBE by the Queen.”

The MBE also went to Samantha Louise Siddall, for her services to the community in Edlington during Covid-19. The BEM was awarded to Bridget Joan Clark, Michael Hart and Elaine Spencer, for their services to the communities during the coronavirus pandemic.
