Epworth farming business scoops top regional award

An Isle farming business has scooped a top prize at a county-wide environmental awards night.

Morris Brothers at Sand Hill Grange in Epworth landed the Farm/Rural Enterprise Award at the Lincolnshire Environmental Awards.

The company won the award for setting aside a significant part of their land to create wildlife habitats, including a pond, which compliment a nearby nature reserve.

Philip Morris, of the business, said: “This is our 20th year here and this year we have again exceeded our hopes.”

The awards ceremony was held at the Bentley Hotel, off the A46 in South Hykeham, Lincolnshire in May.

It was organised by Lindum Rotary Club, in partnership with the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust.
