No seats and no swearing: Doncaster's Frenchgate Centre rolls out its lockdown rules

The majority of stores in the shopping centre are closed, apart from essential stores.
And bosses have introduced a Covid-19 Code Of Conduct – aimed at keeping shoppers safe during the coronavirus pandemic.

Hide AdThe rules include seats being removed from communal areas and a ban on swearing.
Revealing the rules on Facebook, a spokesman said: “We wanted to remind you of our Covid-19 Code of Conduct. We have this in place for the safety of everyone inside the Centre, and to make sure we are all aware of what we need to be doing as we navigate this unprecedented period.”
The rules are:Give space: “Please respect my space. Let’s keep our relationship a bit more long distance.”
Mind language: “Refrain from shouting and swearing. Your elders wouldn’t approve and neither do we.”

Hide AdRespect everyone: “We are in this together. Please don’t disrespect our staff. Intimidating behaviour will not be tolerated, it’s just not nice.”
Be patient: “Queues and longer waiting times are the new normal.”
Keep active: “Boris is encouraging cycling. It’s great fun, but best left outside.”
Stand together: “We’ve temporarily removed seating from all our communal areas.”

Keep safe: “Share love, not the virus. Keep your hands clean.”
Tidier together: “No dropping litter. It's better in the bin.”
The currrent lockdown is expected to last until at least mid-February.
