New cafe in Doncaster town centre thrilled to be able to welcome people inside to eat in a couple of weeks time

A brand new cafe has not yet been allowed to have customers sit inside and eat but all that will change on May 17.

Bagel ‘N’ Spud opened on Hall Gate on April.

Due to pandemic restrictions they have only been allowed to sell take away foods so far but in just over a weeks time they will be able to open fully for the first time.

Cristina Cicekli owner, said: “We’re a family run business and we specialise in cuisine inspired from around the world.

"We are so excited to welcome people inside.

"I already have the opening day menu ready.”

As the business name suggests the cafe/restaurant sells a range of bagels and jacket potatoes.

They also have home made desserts and milkshakes.

"It's going to be great to see people face to face,” she continued.

"And actually have conversations with our customers.

"We want to engage with the local community and get to know everyone here.”

The cafe was due to open last year but due to Covid-19 the launch date kept getting pushed back.

"I want to ask Doncaster people to support small businesses like mine when restrictions lift,” Cristina said.

"We have been through a tough year and your custom will make a big difference to us.”
