Doncaster is now officially in ‘high alert’ coronavirus lockdown restrictions after being placed in Tier 2 of the Government’s three tier Covid-19 scheme.

Along with the rest of South Yorkshire, households are now banned from mixing indoors or in social settings such as pubs and restaurants – although they remain open, along with shops and other businesses.

However, the restrictions appear to have impacted on town centre streets, with large swathes of Doncaster deserted as the new rules come info force.
