Promoter Stuart Turner says: “I always wanted to do an all-day event where I could give rising Sheffield bands the chance to play with exciting touring artists.

“Last year proved the Sheffield music scene has a good rock following.

“The bands get the opportunity to play to a big audience. The crowd get the chance to see many bands they wouldn’t get the opportunity to see otherwise.

“To get international artists of this calibre wanting to play Winter Rocks for the past two years means we are creating something truly special.

“With no stage clashes this will be one event where you get to experience every artist with good ticket and drink prices to boot.”

The Temperance Movement, whose second album White Bear is due for release in mid-January, said: “We are looking forward to tearing it up along with the fantastic line up at Winter Rocks.

“Let’s carve the date in Sheffield’s immense rock heritage. It’s going to be an awesome way to round out a brilliant year.”
