Win tickets to see Billy Elliot: The Musical

Based on the 2000 hit movie, Billy Elliot is a toe-tapping musical that has wowed audiences ever since its very first showing.

A multi-award winning production, this captivating story is set in 1980s Northumberland at a time when the miner’s strike was in full swing. After attending boxing training, young Billy Elliot stumbles upon a ballet class being held in his local village hall and cannot resist giving it a go. Before long, his hidden talent is unveiled; the young boy is a dancing sensation.

Knowing that his father, a staunch working class citizen, will disapprove of his newfound passion, Billy starts attending classes in secret. It’s not long before the cat is out of the bag, changing his life and that of those around him forever.

Carefully crafted by writer Lee Hall, director Stephen Daldry and choreographer Peter Darling, this immensely popular production is broadcasted live from London’s Theatre land for its silver screen debut.
