Romeo, Romeo… Art Thou at Wentworth Woodhouse?

Innovative touring theatre company The Three Inch Fools will be staging a ‘fast-paced, musically-driven’ version of Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet under the stars.
Expect drama, live music and many a quick costume change along the way, says the five-strong cast who promise an inventive take on the classic tale of star-crosseds lovers in the gardens on the West Front of the mansion.

Hide AdThe Three Inch Fools specialise in bringing Shakespeare to life through bold story-telling and a completely original musical soundtrack which moves from folk to classical, rock, pop and opera, created in collaboration with rising star composer Stephen Hyde.


The company is now in its seventh year of touring and has performed to almost 60,000 people.
“Open-air theatre at Wentworth Woodhouse has been very popular and this is our first since the pandemic. We look forward to welcoming everyone back,” said Events Manager Lydia Tickner.
“Come prepared for the weather - the performance will continue rain or shine. Bring your own blankets, cushions, and camping-chairs and join us on our outdoor adventure.”

Hide AdTickets are £16 for adults and £10 for children over 10. Younger children go free. Family tickets (two adults, two children over ten) are £45.
Food and drink wagons and an outdoor bar will be on-site. Doors open at 6pm and the performance starts at 7pm.
