Take That announce third Sheffield Motorpoint Arena date

Pop superstars Take That gave have given Sheffield fans an early Christmas gift - an extra date due to “extraordinary demand” for tickets at the Motorpoint Arena, writes Graham Walker

Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen - now minus Jason Orange and Robbie Williams - will perform the added show on Wednesday, June 24.

This is in addition to original dates there, on Monday and Tuesday, June 1 and 2.

It is their only Yorkshire venue and they are promising greatest hits, including songs from new chart-topping album, III, such as their 13th number one single, These Days

Take That, the UK’s most successful live act ever, are defined by memorable and spectacular touring productions.

Previous shows have included aerialists, circus performers, a wall of water, holograms, a giant elephant and a 60ft robot.

Special guest is chart-topper Ella Henderson, who recently celebrated both her debut single, Glow and her first album, Chapter One, reaching the top spot in the UK Charts

Tickets for the June 24 show, priced £60.50, £64.90, £71.50 & £93.50, including booking fee, will go on general sale on Thursday, December 11, at 9am.

Maximum limit is six tickets per person.

“Due to extraordinary demand, Take That have confirmed that they are adding four new dates to their 2015 tour, in Glasgow, London, Birmingham and the extra show at Sheffield’s Motorpoint Arena,” confirmed a venue spokesman.

“The band scored their 13th number one single last week, with These Days, their first since 2008 and followed-up at the weekend with news that III had also debuted at the top of the UK album chart, making it their sixth number one studio album.”
