The Northern Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Project was launched in 2012, covering eight airfields in the northern part of Lincolnshire. The project tells the story of these Second World War airfields and the part they played during the war years.

Two years on, the project has continued to develop and is about to hold its third talk on aviation related subjects.

Coun Liz Redfern, leader at North Lincolnshire Council said: “I am delighted that John Terry will be giving a welcome talk as it is a great chance for the community to learn about North Lincolnshire’s local war history.”

The event at Humberside airport will start at 7pm. Tickets for the evening are £7.50 to include tea, coffee and biscuits.
