International Bright Young Things Jesus Jones set for Sheffield show

The band enjoyed hugh success in the early 1990s – 1991’s Doubt, featuring hit singles Right Here, Right Now and International Bright Young Thing – topped the charts, while 1993 follow-up Perverse reached the top 10.

However, after 2001’s London, the new music dried up – apart from the Culture Vulture EP in 2004 – until now, with the release of Passages last Friday.

The band said: “We’ve had so much positive feedback, it’s been amazing. Thanks to everyone that’s bought a copy, you’re all wonderful.”

And the band followed up with a limited edition vinyl release to mark Record Store Day.

The band said: “To celebrate its 25th Anniversary, we’ve put out a special version of Zeroes & Ones. It’s on lovely clear vinyl, and collects together the original single version, plus the legendary remixes by The Prodigy, and The Aphex Twin.

“On top of all that, exclusive to this release, is a previously unheard demo version of Zeroes.

“This was the first demo of the track, made before it even had a name, and was just known by it’s working title of Hype.

“There are 1000 copies, worldwide, of this item - and once they’re gone, that’s it.”

Jesus Jones play Plug, Sheffield, on Friday, April 27.
