1. John Lundstram
12/13 appearances: 14. Persistence paid off for the Everton loanee. After his first loan spell brought the League One title, he earned another temporary move to Yeovil in the Championship before being a part of the Leyton Orient side that reached the League One play-off final in 2014. Other loans at Blackpool, Orient and Scunthorpe followed before he left Everton for Oxford United. After more than 100 appearances for Oxford, he joined Sheffield United, winning promotion to the top flight and has become a key member of the side thriving in the Premier League.
2. Jamie McCombe
12/13 appearances: 35. The centre half remained with Rovers for two more years after the League One title win but managed only 25 more appearances with a back injury robbing him of the chance to play regularly in the Championship. Following his release from Rovers in 2015 he spent six months with Stevenage before a switch to Lincoln, where he played out his career until retirement last summer. He moved in coaching with the Imps and was caretaker manager for a three game spell earlier this season but left Sincil Bank in January.
3. Shelton Martis
12/13 appearances: 12. The centre half's five year spell at Rovers petered out in the 12/13 season with only sporadic appearances. He was released in February 2013. He moved to Thailand a year later with Osotspa Saraburi before finishing his career in the Netherlands with SteDoCo for three years.
4. Josh Meade
12/13 appearances: 1. The academy product remained with Rovers for one more year before his release in the summer 2014, having made no further senior appearances. He moved into non-league with Matlock and Stocksbridge before switching to Buxton. He runs a children's coaching business in Doncaster.
