Eddie Todd, who is standing in the Doncaster North constituency, has outlined what he calls ‘Eddie’s Brexit Solution’ in his election campaign leaflets.
He wrote: “I’m totally against Labour’s views and policies on Brexit.

He also says he would keep the open border between the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, adding: “This would protect the UK’s economy and our fishing grounds. If this is not agreeable, we must have a hard border between the mainland UK and Ireland."
Britain’s future trading relationship with Ireland has proved one of the main sticking points over Brexit – with the so-called Irish backstop plan a particular bone of contention among politicians.
Mr Todd, a local businessman, added: “We cut out this nonsense on whether we should leave or not leave and do what the people voted for.”

Hide AdMr Todd, who runs a Uncle Eddie’s Motor Park at Carcroft, first came to prominence when he stood for election as Mayor of Doncaster in 2017.
He finished fourth and blamed his defeat on a police "set-up" after video of him being spoken to by officers over an "ambulance" he was using as a campaign vehicle went viral.
In the immediate aftermath of his defeat, he called for the election to be re-run, saying the clip had wrecked his entire campaign and lost him thousands of votes.
He has also outlined a series of election pledges which he will deliver after Brexit.

He added: “I joined the Labour Party, then I joined the Conservative Party, I donated to the Brexit Party. I became disillusioned with them all.
“I came to my senses and went back to being an independent candidate.”
