VIDEO: 'Devastated' Doncaster community mourns loss of three killed in Boxing Day horror crash
The pavement outside Askern Spa Junior School in Sutton Road is covered with a sea of floral tributes this afternoon, after Saturday evening's horror crash during which a car ploughed into four pedestrians, leaving three dead and one fighting for their life.
Ricky Joe Hepworth, aged 24, of Newmarche Drive in Askern has been charged with a string of offences, relating to the crash, including three counts of death by dangerous driving, three counts of aggravated vehicle taking, three counts of causing a death while driving uninsured and unlicensed.

Hide AdTributes have begun to pour in for the three crash victims who have been named locally as couple Andy Tomlinson, 48, and Fay Tomlinson, 54, and friend Mandy Deere, also aged 54.
One touching tribute, left at the scene of the crash in Sutton Road, reads: "Such decent people, such a tragic loss. My thoughts will be with you and all your families. Love Andy Barry + family.

The fourth pedestrian, a 57-year-old man, suffered what police describe as ‘life-threatening injuries’ in the collision. He has been named locally as Mandy's husband, John Deere.

Hide AdAskern mayor and town council chairman, Francis Jackson, said the Askern community was in 'shock' over Saturday's tragic collision.
He said: "It's the last thing you expect to happen when you're on your way back from a Christmas treat to the miners' welfare.
"From what I understand they were on their way back after celebrating Boxing Day together.
"None of us can believe it. Askern has been devastated by this.

Hide Ad"As a community I know we're going to do everything to we can to support the families.
"The flag at the funeral parlour is at half mast, and I know that we want to do everything to show our respect."
