Seven candidates confirmed for Doncaster mayoral election as Ros Jones bids for third term
The Conservative party have councillor candidates in each ward for the first time as they look to take advantage of the gains they made nationally in electing the first borough Tory MP in Nick Fletcher since the 1960s.
Labour, who are the largest party on the council, will be fielding a full ticket of 55 councillors in each of the 20 wards.

Hide AdThe Green Party for the first time is standing at least one candidate in each ward.
The Liberal Democrats, Yorkshire Party, Reform UK, Trade Unionist & Social Coalition, Social Democratic Party and other independents are also standing this time around.
Incumbent mayoral candidate Ros Jones will stand for the position for a third time. The Conservatives are banking on former Tickhill & Wadworth councillor James Hart to unseat Labour this time around.
Warren Draper for the Green Party is also on the mayoral ticket as is Yorkshire Party’s Andy Budden and Reform UK’s Surjit Singh.
