First day back at the Doncaster market - stall holder says ‘please don’t forget about us’

Concrete Jungle Desserts is a business owned by 26 year old Qasim Sattar.
His passion for baking has led to the expansion of his brownie and blondie business - he now has a stall in the Corn Exchange.

Hide AdQasim from Belle Vue, said: “Today is our first day back after lockdown.
“It has been so lovely to see customers again.”
Qasim wants to encourage people to visit the market now that it has reopened.
“There are so many wonderful businesses in this market,” he continued.
“Please don’t forget about us just because the big businesses have opened back up.

“I just want that to continue.”
Concrete Jungle Desserts is Qasim’s first business and is named after a very popular local dessert called chocolate concrete - which he sells.
But brownies and blondies are his speciality, with 25 different flavours to choose from.
Among customer favourites are Jammie Dodger, Biscoff and Chocolate Orange.

Hide AdHe learnt his skills for baking at Doncaster College and is passionate about the quality of his goods.
Qasim is a one man band and bakes all of the desserts himself at the Corn Exchange.
“There is a real community here in the market,” he said.
“It has been so welcoming and even though trade is quiet at the moment I think it will pick up.”
The Concrete Jungle is expanding with a new stall at Barnsley Market in the very near future.
“It’s my second unit in five months,” Qasim said.
“I hope in the future I can go even further.

The Corn Exchange is open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays if you want to visit Qasim in person.
You can get three brownies for £5, six for £9 or individually they are £1.95.
