Charlie Lister, 33, from Auckley has now released three editions of the Crowns and Sashes online magazine.
She said: “I did pageants from a young age and I want to shine a light on all participants and help to remove the stigma.

“I mean I do like to feel like a princess but it’s also a lot of hard work.”
Charlie said that girls and women who take place in pageants often raise a lot of money for charity whilst taking part in the events.
Which is why she is asking for donations to the Samaritans charity in exchange for reading the magazine.

“They have really supported people and worked so hard.”
At first Charlie started out with a blog but after completing many courses online she took the leap into starting her very own publication.
“I lost my job in the first lockdown so I was looking for ways to stay focused and keep on top of my mental health,” she said.
“It has really grown through social media and I hope I can keep doing it for a long time.

She has shared stories about the pageant world, individuals struggles with mental health and features on well known title holders.
Charlie has interviewed pageant participants from all over the UK and even a few from the US and Canada.
She makes sure to include women from all different stages of the industry from beginners to queens.
