The Danum School site on Leger Way has been closed for a number of years, but remarkably, many items from the school’s heyday are still in place.
Classrooms are still filled with tables, chairs and blackboards, while corridors that once buzzed with pupils on their way to lessons are now silent – but lined with abandoned and unused lockers.
Artworks created by pupils are still scattered along walls, while there are even musical instruments left to gather dust in the school which closed its doors in 2017.
The photos, taken by urban exploration Facebook page Abandoned UK will be a familiar sight to the hundreds of Doncaster pupils and teachers who darkened the doors of the school during its history, which also went under the names Danum Grammar School, Danum School Technology College and Danum Academy.
