High tech sensors enhance patient wellbeing and safety in Doncaster

Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) has teamed up with Oxehealth a company that provides patient monitoring systems.
The innovative technology called Oxevision is being used on the Trust’s adult and older peoples inpatient mental health wards and Psychiatric Intensive Care Units as part of a continuous programme to improve patient wellbeing and safety.

Hide AdThe new system uses sensors to remotely monitor a patient’s pulse and breathing rate 24 hours a day by measuring changes in skin tone and chest movements, even when they are under bedding.The sensor can also alert Trust colleagues if a patient gets out of bed, who is at risk of falling or if they display activity or behaviour that may present a risk to their safety.
