Stefanie is step closer in TV talent search

AN EPWORTH aspiring TV star is one step closer to winning a once-in-a-lifetime presenting role with M&S TV after making it onto a final shortlist of 12 contestants in a nationwide talent search.

If Stefanie Rycraft Jones (24) of West End Road wins she will have the opportunity to get exclusive behind the scenes access to the M&S business, including an interview with celebrity stylist Kate Halfpenny. With more than 2.4 million viewers, M&S TV tells the stories behind one of Britain’s most iconic retailers.

Stefanie is no stranger to the camera thanks to her modelling experience, which saw her play a female Milky Bar Kid at age 23.

Finding that she enjoyed being in front of the camera, Stefanie created her own YouTube channel last year and devotes her spare time to producing and presenting online reviews of events, topics and products that interest her.

Graduating with a First Class BA (Hons) degree in Fashion and Brand Promotion led to Stefanie being nominated for Creative Marketer of the Year at London Graduate Fashion Week; this experience has furnished her with a set of impressive fashion credentials that will come in handy should she be successful in the competition.

As a self-confessed fashionista, Stefanie entered the competition by uploading a one minute video clip of herself demonstrating what she loves most about M&S. Stefanie managed to capture the judges’ attention with a light-hearted video focussing on the retailer’s current trends and styles. It was also filmed in the style of M&S’ recent TV fashion adverts.

Stefanie recently headed to London to face a series of filming challenges to test her mettle as a potential M&S TV presenter. The resulting videos are now being put to the public vote with M&S TV fans selecting their favourite three at www.marksandspencer.com/competition.

If Stefanie makes it down to the final three she will appear before a judging panel consisting of stylist to the stars Kate Halfpenny, Editor of The Sun’s TV buzz magazine, Steven Corbett and Chris Gorell-Barnes from the multichannel video agency Adjust Your Set.

The judges will determine the overall winner who will receive an M&S TV filming contract worth £5,000 and win a coveted pair of X-Factor final tickets.

Stefanie said: “Being offered the chance to become the presenter of M&S TV is a potentially life-changing opportunity; it means everything to me. M&S is a globally recognised brand and an icon of the British high street so to represent them in this way would be a dream come true.

“TV presenting is something I’ve always wanted to do and M&S is giving me the opportunity for my big break. I’m going to give it my all and hope that people will like what they see and vote for me.”
