Hip hop meets martial arts and manga as a major new dance work comes to Doncaster tomorrow (Friday).
The show follows five young troublemakers, who are drawn into a power struggle that has divided a secret group of warriors.
Given a chance to redeem themselves in the ensuing battle to restore peace, their action-packed adventure becomes a celebration of camaraderie and the triumph of the human spirit.
Set in modern Tokyo, The Five & the Prophecy of Prana is an explosive tribute to manga, Japan’s popular graphic novel form.
Award-winning international choreographer and Boy Blue Entertainment co-founder Kenrick ‘H20’ Sandy is considered one of the UK’s leading dance professionals.
His work in TV includes So You Think You Can Dance and CBBC’s Alesha’s Street Dance Stars and he also worked on film favourite Street Dance 3D as well as with stars including Miisteeq, Sugarbabes, Plan B and Victoria Beckham.
Following a personal invitation from Danny Boyle, Sandy choreographed a segment of the London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony.
