Classic children’s literature characters including Ratty and Mr Toad are poop-pooping their way to a Doncaster school.

Youngsters at Trinity Academy in Thorne are performing Wind in the Willows next month, and rehearsals are well under way for the show.

All the actors – pictured above – are from Years 7 to 9, and many attend drama teacher Lorna Hadwin’s weekly after-school comedy club.

The pupils, together with Ms Hadwin, have designed and made many of the set elements and props themselves.

The show is at Trinity Academy, Church Balk, Thorne, on July 4 and 5, at 6.30pm. Tickets are available from the academy reception or by calling 01405 813000.
