The UK has a thriving underground Polish music scene – and Doncaster is right sat the heart of it.
One of the scene’s top bands, Eleven, played the Marketplace’s Kuchnia Polska last.
Lead singer Bati Maciek, a kinda Baltic Frank Zappa, told the Free Press: “There’s a huge Polish music scene though at the moment it’s pretty much random.
“You tend to find it mainly based in the big cities – but Doncaster’s a great place to play.
“We’re all big music fans – we were all in bands in Poland – and we just want as many people to hear our music as possible.”
