Music lovers will be transported back to the swinging 60s as Rotherham pays homage to the Fab Four.
Touring tribute show the Magic of the Beatles will take to the stage at the Civic Theatre in Catherine Street on Saturday, June 8.
The night will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the group being formed, with nostalgic music and costume from some of the UK’s leading Beatles soundalikes.
Celebrity clients of the tribute act have included David Beckham and Sir Richard Branson, and the band has played alongside stars such as The Hollies, Madness and Coldplay.
A spokesman for Rotherham Civic Theatre said: “The Magic of the Beatles superbly recreates the band’s legendary live performances, taking you from their mop top roots to the psychedelic sounds of Sergeant Pepper and beyond.
“The year 1963 was the genesis of the greatest band in the world. Fifty years on, this fantastic show ensures the Fab Four’s incredible musical legacy lives on - live and in concert.”
Tickets cost £17.50 and are available from the box office on 01709 823 621 or from the visitors’ centre in All Saints Square.
