A charity music festival is back this year - and organisers hope to raise even more money to help people with cancer.
And this year’s Cusworth Music Festival has received a boost with a £5,000 donation from Ben Bailey Homes.
The generous donation will contribute towards the running costs of the festival, which attracted over 2,000 visitors last year and raised £4,000 for the Aurora Centre in Doncaster.
Steve Rider, sales and marketing director at Ben Bailey Homes, said: “We’re delighted to be supporting the 2011 Cusworth Music Festival. I urge everyone in the area to purchase a ticket and help the Cusworth Music Festival be a success and in turn, benefit the Aurora centre.”
Headlining the festival are The Drifters, who are currently touring the UK with the ‘Icons’ tour.
Trish Wood, one of the festival founders said: “We were blown away by the generous donation from Ben Bailey Homes and we’re committed to making this years festival even more successful than the last.”
The festival, on August 28, features live music from noon until 11pm. There will be stalls and a bar. Camping is also available on Saturday and Sunday night. Tickets are available now Ben Bailey Homes marketing suites across Yorkshire; Cusworth Hall; Doncaster Tourist Information Centre; The Dome; Civic Theatre or online at www.cusworthmusicfestival.co.uk. Tickets are priced at £15 for adults and under 12s go free but must be accompanied by an adult.
