Railway enthusiasts are encouraged to go and take a look at the Scunthorpe and District Model Railway Club’s event at North Lincolnshire Museum on Saturday, October 18, from 11am to 3pm.
There will be model railways galore at the event for people to wander round and admire.
Last year’s ever-popular event marked 50 years of Scunthorpe and District Model Railway Club and lots of people turned up for the occasion.
Many of the displays take months to build and are often local buildings including Scunthorpe Train Station and the Steel Works.
Go along to the event to find out more about the Club and have a go at working the unique model railway displays.
There will be some fantastic interactive displays ideal for keeping children entertained. As well as children’s activities, such as driving a model train around the track.
Plus free Artyfact craft activities will be running throughout the day for children to get involved in.
After looking at the displays why not have a go at the Museum’s trails? Back packs with all the stuff you need to complete the trail are available at reception.
The Courtyard Café will be offering a range of delicious snacks and drinks.
Coun John Briggs, cabinet member for asset management, culture and housing, said: “Scunthorpe and District Model Railway Club’s events are always extremely popular.
