One way or another a music festival in Misterton is hoping to raise money for a worthy cause.
Organisers of The Massive Misterton Music Festival have secured a One Direction tribute band, amongst many others, for the event which takes place on Saturday June 21.
Co-organiser Sammy Beevers said: “We, and a couple of friends, are music mad and we run a couple of events at the local social club in Misterton every year.
“We give most of the money to village groups, schools, football teams and drama groups - and we decided to put on our own mini music festival to include top tribute bands and local up and coming music acts.
“We are six months in the planning are hoping to make donations to the Air Ambulance and local good causes.”
The festival will take place at Misterton Golf Driving Range between noon and midnight.
Alongside the 1D soundalikes (The Wanted Direction), other top tribute acts include Heart of Glass (Blondie) and All Mod Cons (The Jam).
Closer to home, local bands are Catch23, The Starkins and Lizo, with more to be announced nearer the time.
Sammy added: “Get into that festival vibe with free tent camping on the festival site. We welcome fold up chairs. Strictly no umbrellas, no gazebos.”
