Appearing tonight at the ‘Con’ Club is a sensational Sheffield jazz combo that can justly boast having performed at the Glastonbury Festival last June at which lead singer/rhythm guitarist John Naylor was also artistic director of the Jazz Lounge and played support to Take That, in addition to working with many visiting jazz legends over the years

By now, loyal fans will realise that the attraction is of course The Dizzy Club, who can be depended on to provide abundant pleasing swingin’ versions of favourite standards and vigorous originals also, on our very own doorstep.

The action begins at 8.30pm and admission is £5 at the door. Sharing the spotlight with John Naylor will be dexterous violinist and nimble fingered guitarist Patrick Walker who also takes his share of vocals, plus pulsating double bass and drums urging on the action at the Conservative Club.

Another essential gig on the horizon at the ‘Con’ Club takes place on Thursday April 28, no doubt compensating for the cancelled Christmas gig due to the freezing conditions when the attraction is The New Jazz Messengers and Shirley Patterson plus The ‘Mighty’ Bob Quinn sharing vocal honours with ‘Shirl’ featuring Mike Taylor trombone and Geoff Patterson (clarinet) and Colin Wood (piano).
