YOUNG visitors to the Aeroventure aircraft museum, in Doncaster, got the chance to try the cockpit for size among its latest exhibits.

The venue, at Lakeside, opened up the Harrier jump jet to visitors after weather conditions proved dry enough at the weekend Open Cockpits day.
The jet, one of the most recent acquisitions at the venue, can be opened up only when the weather is dry, because it is kept outside.
Dry weather conditions also allowed the museum’s Sea King helicopter to be opened.
