1, European Jet Ski championships

Head over to Doncaster Lakeside, which plays host to the final of the Euro Jettribe Tour Ski Championships, following rounds in Belguim and Portugal.

2, Arts workshop: Big Brush Painting with Neil McGreggor

Calling art lovers to this big brush painting session at Cusworth Hall, which is due to take place outside, weather permitting, with all the materials you will need to create expressionist images.

You can either book in for half a day, or for the whole day and tickets start at £6.

The morning session starts at 10.30am, and the afternoon session starts at 1.30pm.

3, Doncaster market

Friday is a market day, so why not head over to the north’s biggest and most traditional market and pick up a bargain or two?

4, Yorkshire wildlife park

The park is home to a whole host of weird and wonderful animals, and counts a leopard among its recent additions.

Tickets cost £14 for adults, £11.50 for children over three and admission is free for children under three.

Ballroom dancing takes place at Parklands Ballroom, Wheatley Hall Road in Wheatley from 11.30am to 3pm.
