Reggie 'n' Bollie, Ashleigh and Pudsey, Michaela Strachan, Fourth Impact and S Club to star at Yorkshire Wildlife Park

A feast of TV and music stars are set to descend on Doncaster's Yorkshire Wildlife Park this summer.

X-Factor singing duo Reggie 'n' Bollie, Britain's Got Talent winners Ashleigh and Pudsey, TV wildlife host Michaela Strachan and chart stars S Club Party have all been lined up to perform at the Branton-based visitor attraction in August.

The family festival event, A Night in Africa, will be held every Saturday throughout August when guests can enjoy an evening safari stroll around wildlife with extended opening hours till 9 pm.

The park will come alive from 5pm with African music, fire pits, dancing, amazing acrobats, live performers and children’s entertainment and some special guest appearances.

Special appearances will be made by Michaela Strachan, presenter of The Really Wild Show and Countryfile, and Reggie ‘N’ Bollie from X Factor to get the first A Night in Africa off to a fantastic start on Saturday, August 6.

The excitement keeps rolling with S Club Party joining the fun, featuring original band members Bradley and Jo on August 13 and X Factor’s 4th Impact on August 20. The last of the events on August 27 will see another animal superstar as Britain’s Got Talent’s Ashleigh and Pudsey join the entertainment at the park. 


In addition to the usual catering outlets, there will be a BBQ as well as face-painting and story-telling.

Visitors will also be able to attend evening talks by the rangers in the different animal reserves, and enjoy the new interactive show ` Big Bugs Live’ as well as other events and attractions across the park.

CEO John Minion said: “We are delighted to be staging these family evenings during the summer and there will be lots of attractions around the park.

“It will be great fun for all the family and we’ve got some fantastic entertainment lined up for our guests to enjoy while they experience the unique atmosphere of the wildlife park into the evening."
