Heart Yorkshire’s new breakfast radio duo Dixie and Emma are in South Yorkshire this week to give away mugs in return for hugs.
On Monday (May 19) they will be in Doncaster’s High Street - between 11am and 2pm - then in Rotherham on Friday (May 23).
Joining them, on a mission to give away brand new limited edition Heart radio mugs, witll be the Heart Angels.
To get one, Dixie or Emma want listeners to go up to them and give them a hug - if it meets the ‘Heart Hugging Standard’, they also get a mug.
They will be in Dewsbury on Tuesday, Wakefield on Wrdnesday, Bradford on Thursday then back in South Yorkshire, to Dixie’s home town of Rotherham, on Friday,
Dixie said; “This is going to be fun! It combines two of my favourite pass times, drinking tea from a mug and making new friends.
“So, what better way than for you to come along, give us a lovely hug and we’ll give you a lovely mug!”
Emma added; “Hugs are a lovely way to say hello so it’s going to be great getting out and meeting our listeners and giving them a hug.
“Hugging makes people happy, it’s connecting and I’m looking forward to sharing the hugs and giving out the mugs. We just need some of the local shops to come and fill our mugs with tea. They’ll get a hug too!”
