A POPULAR children’s book will be brought to life in music at a Doncaster concert next week.
Ensemble 360 will be performing a musical version of Sir Scallywag and the Golden Underpants at Priory Place Methodist Church on Saturday, March 2, from 3pm.
The children’s concert is the work of Music in the Round’s composer in residence, Paul Rissmann, and is based on the book written by Giles Andrae.
When King Colin’s golden underpants go missing and the royal bottom is bared, it is Sir Scalliwag to the rescue, even though he’s only six!
The work features music by Handel and Rossini, audience participation, and illustrated projections, including a brief appearance of the King’s bottom. Tickets are £8 and £6.
