A new occupational therapist is working at Maltby Hilltop and Kelford school to provide specialist sensory integration assessments and therapy to students.

Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust has appointed Jo Helas to work with children who find it hard to process information obtained from sight, sound, smell, taste and touch.

She said: “Children experiencing sensory integration difficulties can feel very isolated. This role allows us to put the right treatments in place to meet a child’s individual needs.”
