Platinum selling singer James Blunt will take to the stage at Doncaster Racecourse next month.
Blunt, who has earned a string of Brit Awards and endless international awards, is touring his latest album Moon Landing, and will be watching the races before performing alongside his band.
Blunt, who performed at Epsom Downs Racecourse earlier this month, said: “It’s an amazing day out. It works brilliantly because people can have a day at the races and then a concert starts exactly where they are. It makes for a great atmosphere.
“This is the biggest production I have ever taken on tour, but it looks fantastic and I hope people enjoy it.”
The star, whose uncle worked for The Jockey Club, rose to fame in 2005 with the release of his platinum selling, debut studio album Back to Bedlam before achieving worldwide fame with the singles You’re Beautiful and Goodbye My Lover and has since gone on to sell 17 million albums and 20 million singles worldwide.
He said people can expect to hear some of his old classics alongide songs from his new album.
“I know people want to hear my new songs, like Bonfire Heart. but also my older songs like You’re Beautiful or Goodbye My Lover. I want to make sure people go home with smiles on their faces.”
“I’m really excited about coming back to Yorkshire and seeing what’s going on there. I just hope it’s a sunny day.”
The concert is on Saturday August 16 at the Town Moor track after the racing.
Adult tickets start from £31, children’s tickets are £11. Hospitality options available from £103.20.
