Family history helpdesk at Doncaster library

NEWS: News.

NEWS: News.

Doncaster and District Family History Society is launching a new help desk service in the town’s main library.

Volunteers from the society will be on hand on the first floor of the Central Library in Waterdale to offer advice and help on family history research matters.

The first session will run from 10am until 12pm on Thursday, March 14, with two volunteers being on duty, and then on the second Thursday of each month. It is hoped to increase the regularity of these sessions over the next few months.

“The Help Desk is the result of discussions between the society and Library Services and is seen as a joint venture which should be of benefit to both organisations and to the public of Doncaster,” said society spokesman Dave Rollin.
