Wheatley Hills retained their top-three status in North One East with a 22-12 win over Morpeth.

Wheatley, who won by only four points at Morpeth last October, found themselves trailing to a converted try but took control with tries in the ten minutes either side of half time.

Doncaster Phoenix were in scintillating form as they ran in 11 tries to none in a 73-3 romp against Ripon at Castle Park.

Phoenix’s win helped them defend their eight-point lead in Yorkshire Two.

Phoenix were 42-0 clear by half time and coasted to a convincing victory after Ripon had replied with their sole penalty goal just after the break.

Winger Dan Greenslade, full-back Craig Deakin and scrum-half Tim Elliot all ran in two tries.

Thornensians once again had victory snatched away from them when a late try earned Old Modernians a 20-16 win in their Yorkshire Three match at Thorne.

Thornesians were leading 16-15 with time running out, before an opportunist try sealed the win for Modernians.

Doncaster Amateurs put visiting Stanley Rodillians to the sword on Saturday as the tries piled in, giving them a 52-5 victory.

Oli Prescott opened the scoring, and George Wood, Mark Steadman, Frazer Botham, James Arnold, Will Duckett and Brad Taylor all got in on the scoring.

Rossington Hornets went down 28-18 to local rivals Rotherham Clifton.
