BRETT Davey will hand Championship debuts to seven new signings as the Knights travel to Plymouth Albion in the season curtain raiser.

A total of 18 players have arrived at Castle Park this summer and 12 of those have made the 22 for the trip to Brickfields.

Centre’s James Tincknell and Dante Mama, hooker Rhys Buckley, prop Brian McGovern, second rown Royce Cadman and back row pair Jethro Rawling and Sam Pailor will all make their debut for the Knights.

And there is a re-debut for the returning Jamie Lennard at fly half.

Matt Challinor will skipper the Knights for the first time in competitive action after his summer appointment as captain.

The Knights lost 18-6 at Plymouth last season with Tyson Lewis grabbing two tries for Albion.

Lewis moved to Castle Park in the summer but is not is the squad to face his former club.

Replacements: 16 Jerry Cronin; 17 Ben Sowery; 18 Phil Hoy; 19 Andy Boyde; 20 Adam Kettle; 21 Louis Silver; 22 Will Simpson.
