Tom Buckenham scored twice as Wheatley Hills ran out 20-10 winners at home against Driffield at the end of a balanced game in North One East.
The home side dominated in the scrum and were comfortably ahead via Buckenham and a try for winger Owen Gillvray.
Driffield were allowed back into the game on the stroke of half time.
But Hills added a third through Buckenham after the break to dispel any hope of a Driffield comeback and saw the game out thanks to a strong display by the pack.
Wath on Dearne, holding the home side to a penalty goal margin at half time, collapsed to a 29-0 defeat at Keighley as their Yorkshire Two hosts ran in four second half tries.
Wath were outplayed by Keighley’s backs in the second half.
Thornensians suffered their first defeat of the season in Yorkshire Three, losing 17-12 at Northallerton.
Thorne were starved of ball by Northallerton, who kicked well for territory and left their big forwards to do the rest.
After an early try for the hosts, Thorne got off the mark with Ryan Pilley touching down and Rob Brown converting on 12 minutes.
Prop Andy Ellis skipped over after 31 minutes, leaving Thorne 12-5 ahead at the break.
However, two second half tries from Northallerton left them 17-12 ahead and also left Thorne little time to hit back.
