BRETT Davey has added the latest piece to his Knights jigsaw by announcing the return of Tom Luke to Castle Park.
Luke (pictured left) helped steer Cornish Pirates to the Championship play-off final last season.
The versatile back is comfortable at centre and fly half, and also spent time at flanker during his time at Doncaster four years ago.
Davey said: “When the Pirates hit the play offs, Tom came into his own and he can expect to play a lot of rugby this season.
“His creativity, work rate and decision making fit right into the mix I am trying to build.
“If you can imagine the strength and attacking versatility of a centre pairing of PJ Gidlow and Tom Luke, backed by the guile and experience of Paul Devlin, a jigsaw begins to take shape.
“PJ was the base of much of our attacking play last season with both PJ and Tom Luke defending and attacking as a duo that will give us a balance and variation in our play.
“With Tom you know the package you are going to get,” added Davey.
“It’s not just his flexibility but his reliability I have signed him for.
“Tom is a player with a huge heart for the game who plays every moment with drive and determination.”
Davey has one more signing to announce to complete his 27-man squad.
