DONCASTER Phoenix fully deserved their two bonus points despite losing 29-27 to West Leeds in Yorkshire Two at Castle Park.

Phoenix were leading 27-26 when Leeds landed a drop goal with three minutes remaining.

But the home side salvaged a losing bonus to add to the point they gained for scoring four tries.

Phoenix’s tries came courtesy of full back Carey Thomas, tight head prop John Mundy, winger Mick Sykes and David Oakley.
