NEW signings Tomas Francis and Gareth Quinn-McDonogh go straight into Doncaster Knights’ squad for the visit of Esher.
Prop Francis, a student at Leeds University, and fly half Quinn-McDonogh, who joined the club from Munster this week are named on the bench for tomorrow’s game.
David McIlwaine (shoulder), Latu Makaafi (illness) and Tom Luke (shoulder) are among those on the missing list.
But Ben Toft is included on the wing, while Andy Brown makes only his second league start this season at loose-head prop.
Michael Noone, Andy Boyde and Dom Parsons are rewarded for strong performances against Bedford Blues earlier this month with starting berths.
Director of rugby Brett Davey also added young Cambridge full back Toby Berridge and former Knight Dan Smith to his squad this week.
“They’ve given us a real lift this week,” said Davey.
“They’re all long-term prospects with a lot of potential and they’ll push the club forward at a crucial time.
“They’ve had a lot thrown at them this week and perhaps Tom and Gareth wouldn’t have expected to make the squad so soon – but we want to encourage them to go out and play.”
