The Castle Park youngsters did it the hard way, coming from 12-0 down to win the final 21-15 at York St John University Sports Park.

Tries from Will Burden and James Wright, both converted by the former, saw Doncaster recover from a shaky start to lead 14-12 at the break.

Tom Kerry’s converted try from a driving maul extended the lead and, despite a late flurry from Durham, saw Ant Posa’s men claim a hard earned victory.

Knights’ academy was launched in 2015 in association with University College Doncaster and aims to develop elite young sportsmen while they study for academic qualifications out of Castle Park.
