LOCAL lad Tom Davies will tomorrow become the second player to re-join the Knights in the space of a week, the Free Press can reveal.

Davies departed Castle Park for Magners League giants Cardiff Blues last year but the prop has been persuaded to return to South Yorkshire by director of rugby Brett Davey.

Davey’s rebuilding job has gathered pace over the last week - and the club has now announced the arrival of ELEVEN new players since Davey took the reigns from Lynn Howells.

Former fans favourite Chris Planchant returned to bolster Doncaster’s back row last week.

But it is the signing of Davies, a former Hall Cross School pupil and Welsh junior international, which is perhaps the club’s biggest coup of the summer so far.
