Rugby League: Good result for Bentley

BENTLEY Good Companions are among four clubs tied for second place in Yorkshire One after they launched a late comeback to win 28-26 at Normanton Knights.

Companions led 16-8 at the interval after tries from Neil Thorne, Nick Pownall and Craig Whincop.

But a sloppy start to the second half saw the hosts turn the game on its head to lead 26-16.

The game was to turn full circle again, however, as Scott Smith crashed over on the hour before Josh Richards returned from the sin bin to go under the posts for his first try of the season.

Whincop then landed his fourth conversion to separate the sides.
